This case report aims to describe and analyze the clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and progression of a patient with leishmaniasis treated in a medical clinic. The methodology adopted was based on detailed clinical follow-up of the patient, including the collection of clinical data, laboratory and complementary tests, and critical analysis based on current scientific literature. The results demonstrated that the patient presented typical symptoms of the disease, with diagnostic confirmation by histopathological and laboratory tests, followed by treatment with pentavalent antimonials, which resulted in significant clinical improvement and no relapses during follow-up. The importance of early diagnosis, appropriate therapeutic management, and continuous monitoring is emphasized for achieving favorable outcomes. The role of nursing, through the Systematization of Nursing Care (SAE), is also emphasized, contributing to clinical monitoring, complication prevention, skin lesion care, and educational activities aimed at patients and their families, ensuring comprehensive and humanized care.
